Elizabeth (Liz) Siegel

Biography

Siegel received her PhD from The University of Chicago in 2003. She has worked as a curator at the Art Institute of Chicago since 2001. Research interests: topics across the history of nineteenth-century photography, including family albums, photocollage, daguerreotypes, and a variety of vernacular practices; history of photography in Chicago, including the Institute of Design and the history of the Art Institute; historiography and the history of collecting photography.
